The Muay Nam fighting system is divided into three main areas: techniques, strategies, and tactics, each plays a specific and complementary role. Techniques: Choosing techniques carefully is essential because they must be effective, efficient, and in synergy. In Muay Nam, most techniques are designed for both combat sports and self-defense. However, relying on techniques alone is not enough, you need strategies. Strategies: A strategy establishes the best use of the techniques to achieve the objective, which in combat sports is defeating the opponent while receiving the least damage possible. The strategies are based on the clues collected before the confrontation and are adapted as the conflict evolves. This makes the strategic process dynamic, requiring continuous evaluation.
Tactics: After defining a strategy, the opponent will try to prevent its execution, making tactics necessary to apply the strategy consistently. Tactics often involve deception, aimed at disorienting the opponent and creating the optimal conditions to advance in the chosen strategy. Muay Nam, therefore, follows a complete approach to maximize the chance of creating order in the chaos of combat, taking opportunities at the right moment, leading to triumph.
